BIO-BPS
Bio-BPS is the newest generation of green plastics, a biodegradable plastic that decomposes into water and carbon dioxide with the microorganism under the soil.
It novels in its 3-fold bio-properties:
1.BIO-BASED
Made from renewable feedstocks like glucose, sucrose, biobased glycerol and in the future also from second generation renewable feedstocks. The advantage of biobased succinic is a significant improvement of the material carbon footprint through the usage of renewable resources.
2.BIODEGRADABLE
Polybutylene Succinate (PBS) is a biodegradable and compostable polyester .
3.COMPOSTABLE
– Products made from Bio-PBS can be disposed of along with organic waste.
– Bio-PBS has no adverse effects on the environment and is naturally compostable, without requiring a specialized composting facility.

High temperature resistant
Applications made by Bio-PBS can withstand up to 100°C. Bio-PBS can be used for hot beverage cups, boxes, and utensils for freshly cooked food.
Flexible for processes
Suitable for processes like extrusion, injection molding, thermoforming, compression molding
Taylor-made PBS material
The physical properties and biodegradation rate of PBS materials can be tailored through composition control with different types and various contents of monomers.
Mix with other polymers
PBS can also be readily compounded with other (bio)polymers to tune the performances of the material.
Fiber-binding
PBS shows a good binding to natural fibers without any additional bonding agent.
100% BIO-based
Up to 100% biobased, enabling an improved material carbon footprint compared to alternatives based on fossil resources.
Biodegradable
Biodegradable under industrial conditions (EN13432).
